Frequently Asked Questions
Hypnosis is a state of mind that we all go in and out of on a daily basis, for example when we are really absorbed in a book or film or lost in our own thoughts on the drive to work. These are all trance like or hypnotic states. It is really a form of deep relaxation and its use has been well documented for thousands of years.
You know what it feels like when you realise you’ve been daydreaming and someone calls your name several times before you hear them. Or perhaps you’re driving along the motorway and suddenly realise several junctions have passed without noticing them. These are different state of awareness (trance) that we all naturally experience every day.
Hypnosis is 100% safe because it taps into our natural mind states, you can rouse yourself from a hypnotic state at anytime. Hypnosis has been approved by the British Medical Council for nearly 65 years, since 1955.
